An irrigation install is mostly design work. The trenching goes fast; deciding how the property gets zoned is what determines whether your lawn is even and your water bill is sane.
Design and zoning
We measure the property, check available water pressure and flow, and lay out heads so their spray patterns overlap — head-to-head coverage. Undersized spacing is the number one cause of dry rings and brown corners.
Zones get grouped by need, not convenience: sunny turf separate from shaded turf, lawn separate from beds, spray heads never mixed with rotors on the same zone. Beds are better served by drip than by spray.
Install day
A typical residential system goes in over one to two days. We pull pipe with a vibratory plow to minimize lawn damage, set heads and valve boxes, tie into the water supply with the required backflow prevention, mount and program the controller, then flush and adjust every head.
What you get at handoff
We walk the system with you zone by zone, show you the controller, the shutoff and the backflow device, and set a starting schedule for the current season. You should leave that walkthrough knowing how to shut the system off and how to skip a cycle.
Seasonal care in the Carolinas
Systems need a spring startup with a head check and a fall blowout before hard freezes. Heads get clipped by mowers, nozzles clog, and schedules that were right in June waste water in October — a smart controller handles most of that automatically.

Will it tear up my lawn?
Pipe is plowed in rather than open-trenched wherever possible. Lines close up and the turf typically recovers within a few weeks.

It is standard on our installs regardless — it prevents the system running during rain and pays for itself in water savings.
