Downtown Lincolnton's older homes can have drain lines that have aged while surrounding grades shifted over decades. Near the Marcia H. Cloninger Rail Trail, we check both conditions in swelling Lincoln County clay; the free on-site estimate has no trip fee.
We do not maintain a Lincolnton storefront, because the crew evaluates pipes and grade at the residence. Weekly routes through these towns use NC 27, Main Street and West Congress Street, and we arrive according to the confirmed schedule.

The Marcia H. Cloninger Rail Trail is a paved trail on a former Norfolk Southern rail line. It was officially named in 1999 and is about 1.5 miles long.
The trail passes the old depot at Pine and North Poplar streets, has stairs to Main Street and connects city parks through downtown Lincolnton.
The trail runs through downtown and older residential streets. Established lots can have aging drain pipes, grades changed by decades of settling and downspouts that release water too close to foundations. Lincoln County clay packs tightly and swells when wet.
A downspout that once emptied away from an older foundation may now meet soil that has settled back toward the wall. At the same time, a buried pipe can narrow, separate or end at an outlet whose elevation no longer works with the yard.
Tightly packed clay expands when wet and changes how water moves around those aging components. We trace the existing line and measure the current surface before deciding whether replacement, regrading or a separate collection point is appropriate.
Replaces or reroutes private roof drainage that now ends too close to an older Lincolnton home.
Intercepts subsurface moisture held within packed clay beside a lower grade.
Diagnoses a settled depression before adding pipe to an established downtown lot.
Sets an inlet where the revised surface and available outlet support gravity flow.
Restores a visible route that decades of settlement have reduced.
Addresses water accumulating behind a wall on a mature residential slope.
If a drainage problem involves a city street or a public pipe, contact the City of Lincolnton first. Drainage on private property is the property owner’s responsibility.
